🚀 3.2.1. Create Autonomous Org ::: Atomic Scaling

Mar 13, 2026

Everyone in my circle is talking about what robots can do for us. Last week I wrote: build for robots, not humans. This week — the operating model.

In 2014, Vitalik Buterin gave crypto its backbone with the DAO — Decentralized Autonomous Organization. Now I'm coining what comes next: HAAO — Human-Assisted Autonomous Organization. The machines run the org. The humans assist.

3 IDEAS FROM ME

I. Set the intention. Not the instruction.

In the old world, humans told humans what to do. At Supercell, founders stopped telling people what to do — they just set principles and got out of the way. That was radical then.

In the new world, you don't tell robots what to do either. You set the intention. You write the master prompt. You design the environment — and let agents run.

Here's the unlock: everything around us was built for humans. Email accounts, phone numbers, bank accounts — all have human-shaped blockers baked in. That's not a bug. That's the opportunity. Build products agents can use externally. Build organizations agents can grow internally.

II. API-first. Not UI/UX.

Robots don't browse dashboards. They read columns in tables.

Structured metadata. Event streams. Activity logs. That's the interface for the agent economy. Any infrastructure partner without clean API access is a liability — and most will charge you 2–5× for the privilege. Pay it. The compounding return is worth it

III. The loop: closed feedback system.

Every company that will matter in five years has one thing in common: a closed feedback loop that improves without human intervention.

Observe → Decide → Act → Learn. Continuously.

The companies doing this now aren't the obvious ones. They're running 10,000 AI-generated ad variants simultaneously. They're detecting intent in conversation before the human has consciously formed it. They're building production loops where every interaction makes the next one sharper — automatically.

The companies not doing this are running checklists and calling them processes. The difference isn't linear. It's exponential. And it's already happening.

2 QUOTES FROM OTHERS:

I.

"The best organizations don't tell people what to do. They create conditions where the right thing happens naturally." — Dee Hock, Founder and former CEO of Visa. Author of "Birth of the Chaordic Age"

II.

"The iteration of hypothesis, changes, and measurement will make you better at a faster rate than anything else we have seen.” - Gabe Newell, Co-Founder, Valve Software

1 ACTION FOR YOU:

One question. Answer it honestly.

If you disappeared tomorrow — no founders, no team — would your revenue grow next month?

If no: you have a job, not an organization.

The entire game of the next decade is closing that gap. HAAO is how.

To the explorers. Toward a new world of abundance.

P.S. The path to HAAO starts simple: tinker, break things, talk to sharp people. Then build.

Here's what that looks like in practice.

Matt Schlicht vibe-coded Moltbook over a weekend. Launched January 28. Acquired by Meta 42 days later.

Not because it was polished. Because what broke revealed more than anything that worked.

1.5M API keys exposed. No rate limiting. No verification. By every traditional measure — a disaster. And yet: 150,000 autonomous agents created by just 17,000 humans. Nobody designed that ratio. It emerged.

88 agents per human. Sit with that number.

Meta didn't acquire the product. They acquired the proof — that emergent leverage at that scale was real, and that the "exploit" was the architecture.

That's the HAAO mindset. You don't engineer the outcome. You build the conditions. You watch what emerges. And you move fast enough to recognize what you've got before anyone else does.
